Accademia del Giglio is a private school in Florence which is specifically aimed at helping international students to gain proficiency in Italian language and Art (drawing and painting techniques).
Italian language courses
Accademia del Giglio organize intensive Italian language courses in small classes (max. 7 students) all year round for all levels, from beginner to advanced, according to the European Language portfolio. Beside these courses it is possible to attend more intensive programmes such as one-to-one tuition or home tuition (study at the teacher’s home) or crash courses during weekends or weekdays.
Drawing and Painting courses
Students have the opportunity to attend our Art courses either in English or in Italian. They can be easily introduced into basic drawing and painting techniques or improve their artistic skills by studying traditional techniques such as oil, watercolour and fresco. Our school can also offer more in-depth workshops and art seminars on one specific technique or subject, such as sketchbook, portrait, landscape, sanguine and other classical methods.
